Runescape Mining and smithing

Next on the list of training is the basics of mining, in this case it is the mining of copper and tin ore then smithing.

Find the Mining instructor (hold the cursor over his head and you will see his name), this is a feature you will use many times as you go through the Runescape world.

To check out the rocks to see if there is any ore in them, right click on the rock and from the drop down box chose "prospect rocks" this will tell you what is in the rocks , if any.

Darrick, the mining instructor will give you a Bronze Pick to mine rock. Find the rock with some tin, right click on it and choose mine the rock, when you see the ore in your inventory, then mine some copper.

Look around for the furnace and right click on the tin and then left click on the furnace, now you have a bronze bar. It takes one of each ore to make a bronze bar.

Find the mining instructor and he will give you a hammer to smith a weapon with, find the anvil which is nearby, right click on the bronze bar and left click on the anvil, a new window appears, choose the weapon you want to make, right click on your choice and it is made.
