Combat in Runescape
Find the combat area, (not far away) the instructors name is Vannaka (level 134, very powerful dude).
If you want to see what you are wearing for protection, click on the Icon with four arrows and it will show what you have on , boots, body armor, hats or helmets, and weapons you are carrying.
Go back to Vannaka and will be given a sword and a shield, if you click on these items to put them with the other worn items.
click on the crossed swords and choose and attack style, there are four different ones.
Follow the path to the gate and open it, right click on the big mouse and choose attack mode, when the mouse is destroyed go back to Vannaka and you will be given a Bow and some Arrows. Click on the Bow, the crossed swords and chose from the 3 styles of attack, and then on the Rat, you will be shooting the rat.
Now you have some things in your inventory you will have to go to the bank to put some away, the bank has a big $ sign over it. Click on the bank teller and open your account, click on each item in you packsack that you want to deposit, keep the Ax, tinder box and the small fishing net.
You are just about finished your basic training, just a note here , if you are inactive for more than 60 seconds you will logged out. You will soon be Teleported to your new world which will start in Lumbridge. If you are killed you will taken back to the starting point at Lumbridge.
